The verse - "What do you think? If a shepherd has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray,
does he not leave the ninety-ninne on the mountains and go in search of the one that went astray?
And if he finds it, truly I tell you, he rejoices over it more than the ninety-nine that never went astray"

Bob Mueller writes " this verse is especially meaningful to me as it reflects, to a great deal, my own
journey of faith -- of being lost and then found,. The stray is a willful young ram and the moment is one of encounter with grace. I was blessed to be among a special group to travel to Israel and Jordan in late December, 1999. While in Jordan we paid a visit to Mount Nebo, where Moses was allowed to see the promised land, and, where he was taken up by the Lord. The view is from the slope of that mountain looking northwest. It has a been a view I always wanted to paint and was finally moved to do so for George Gaffga's book. I can only hope that the work reflects a part of the spirit that was with me while creating it".
