“Youth with a Purpose”

“Gathering at the Well”

In the ancient world, digging a well was more than just a way to access water. It served to establish roots, as a local gathering place, and a stop for travelers. In the Bible, the well is often the location of significant faith stories. Travelers on the journey of faith: come to the “well” as we consider what it means to dig deep roots in our own lives, why it’s important we gather, and who it is that offers us life-sustaining water.

“Living Out Loud”

Choosing to live a life of faith can be risky, foolish or a strange thing to do in our culture. Why is it worth it? How do we live out the faith that we choose? Come explore your faith journey and what it means to live it out loud!

TO REGISTER THROUGH YOUR CHURCH
1. All retreats will be held at the Nunemaker Center at Holmes Presbyterian Camp and Conference Center, a
ski-lodge type facility with fireplaces, bunk beds, and places for recreation.2. Registation/Arrival will be on Friday at 6:30 pm, with dinner served at 7 pm. The retreat will conclude with Saturday dinner at 6 pm.
3. Bring a pillow and pillowcase, blankets and sheets or a sleeping bag. Also bring towels, toiletry items, clothing
and shoes for the season, pajamas and a Bible. Remember: The temperature at camp is 10 to 15 degrees colder than that at home!4. The $85 non-refundable fee must accompany your registration form. Make checks payable to your church. Give your form and fee to your church staff person.
TO CHURCHES REGISTERING
FOR A WEEKEND1. This retreat will be limited to 60 participants. A minimum of 20 participants will be required to hold the retreat.
2. Each church is expected to provide 1 adult for every 8 confirmands.
3. In order to register and hold your church’s place, a non-refundable deposit of $25 each is due at the Holmes office four weeks prior to the retreat. Send a check or pay by credit card by making a group reservation on our online registration system. To hold spaces for your class click here. You may have an existing user name and password. 4. Have each adult and youth register by completing a registration form and providing a check written to your
church. If you save spaces with a group hold each participant can register themselves (click here) and choosing the group hold option. Paper registration forms will still be required for the emergency information requested. Do not send personal checks for each registrant to Holmes. After receiving registration forms and checks, pay final fees by credit card at our online registration system or write one church check made out to “Presbyterian Conference Association” and send to Holmes Presbyterian Camp and Conference Center, 60 Denton Lake Road, Holmes, NY 12531.5. All signed registration forms and full fees are due at the Holmes office no later than two weeks before the retreat. All reservations are on a first come, first serve basis.
6. A waiting list will be kept until 1 week prior to the event. Fees held for the waiting list are refundable if the weekend is full.
